Fable’d
Everyone’s got a story. What’s yours?
Fable’d is our live storytelling night where people gather to share powerful, playful and thought-provoking stories around a shared theme. Part salon, part open mic, part fireside gathering (albeit in a basement in Waterloo), the evening blends traditional storytelling with contemporary voices, creating a space where ancient myths, personal tales and new writing can sit side by side.
Each night explores a different theme. Previous editions have included Stories Passed Down and Sense & Sensuality, celebrating the stories we inherit and the ones we carry in our bodies.
Our next event, Rights of Passage, takes place 7th June.
Stories of childhood to adulthood, first love to first heartbreak, leaving home to never quite managing to. Growing up, figuring it out, and everything in between.
Tales of puberty, identity, sexuality and becoming who you are. Of weddings, marriages, divorces, and starting over. Of freedom and responsibility, and learning how to look after yourself.
Stories of bad decisions that made sense at the time, nights that changed everything, and firsts you don’t forget. Rituals, initiations, accidental milestones and the moments that shift something in you.
An evening of warmth, honesty, humour, and reflection, featuring curated storytellers and open mic slots.
Got a story that fits the theme? Drop us a message to grab a spot, or take your chances with a limited open mic slot on the night.
